European elections – Q&A event

Cytûn partnered with WCIA (the Welsh Centre for International Affairs) and PLANED (Pembrokeshire Local Action Network for Enterprise and Development) to arrange a candidate Q&A event on Thursday 9th May 2019 at 7pm in Pembrokeshire College, Haverfordwest. The event was streamed on Facebook Live. Here is the video.

All those parties who are standing a list in Wales were invited. Six parties chose to attend; two parties chose not to come. We focused on the global issues around which Welsh MEPs will be responsible for making decisions for as long as they are serving in the European Parliament, such as climate change, migration, economic development and agriculture. Naturally, Brexit was discussed also! The meeting was chaired by the Very Revd Dr Sarah Rowland-Jones, Dean of St Davids Cathedral, who is a former UK diplomat as well as a senior cleric in the Church in Wales.
