The new Racial Justice Sunday Resources Now Available in English and Welsh
As we mark Racial Justice Sunday on 8 February, new comprehensive resources are now available to help congregations and their leaders explore what it truly means to love our neighbour in today’s challenging times.

These freely available materials—produced in partnership with CTBI and available in both English and Welsh—offer congregations practical support for engaging with racial justice in worship, prayer and discussion. Whether you’re planning a Sunday service, leading a study group, or simply wanting to deepen your church’s witness to Christian unity and equality, these resources provide everything you need.
What’s Included?
The resource packs contain worship materials, biblical reflections, discussion prompts and practical ideas for action. They address the real conversations happening in our communities: the hostile narratives targeting asylum seekers and refugees, the challenge of embodying Christ’s radical love, and the biblical call to recognise that our ultimate identity lies in Christ, not in nationality or ethnicity.
Crucially, the resources are grounded in both theological depth and pastoral sensitivity, designed to equip church leaders and congregations to speak with confidence about racial justice from a Christian perspective. One of the co-authors is Rev Denzil John, a valued member of Cytûn’s Racial Justice Network, bringing lived experience and prophetic insight to the work.
Why This Matters Now
Racial Justice Sunday provides a vital opportunity for Welsh churches to stand together in affirming the dignity and belonging of all people. In a climate where division and suspicion of the ‘other’ are increasingly normalised, our churches have a distinctive and urgent calling to witness to Christian unity and to champion justice.
