Cytûn – Churches Together in Wales – was one of the church organisations supporting and promoting the “Red Line for Gaza – Senedd Cymru” event on 24 September 2025, with Cytûn’s General Secretary, Dr Cynan Llwyd, taking a visible and public speaking role.
During the event, church leaders, members of congregations, and representatives of charitable organisations gathered in central Cardiff, in line with the #PrayerForPeace campaign, to pray and stand in public witness of solidarity with the people of Gaza and the West Bank. Cytûn, as Wales’ national ecumenical body, played an important role in encouraging churches across Wales to participate publicly and support the campaign.
Dr Cynan Llwyd encouraged churches to use the “Just Peace” resources, as well as dialogue and prayer, as ways to express the Christian call for peace, justice, and compassion within communities in Wales and across the world.
