New Resources now Available for Week of Prayer for 2026
Cytun is pleased to highlight that Churches Together in Britain and Ireland (CTBI) has published resources for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2026, which will be observed from 18-25 January.

Encouraging Participation Across Wales
Cytun encourages churches throughout Wales to participate in this important week of prayer and to make use of these excellent resources to strengthen local ecumenical partnerships. The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity provides a valuable opportunity for congregations of different traditions to come together in worship, reflection, and shared witness.
Local churches and ecumenical groups can access the full range of materials, including worship resources, biblical reflections, and practical suggestions for joint activities, directly from the CTBI website.
Dr Cynan Llwyd, General Secretary said:
“The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity remains one of the most significant moments in our ecumenical calendar, offering churches across Wales a precious opportunity to demonstrate our unity in Christ. I warmly encourage all our member churches to engage with these thoughtful resources from CTBI, which this year invite us to reflect on Martha’s profound confession of faith. As we face the challenges of witness in contemporary Wales, coming together in prayer and fellowship during this week strengthens our common mission and deepens the bonds between our communities. Local ecumenical partnerships are the heartbeat of unity in action, and I hope these resources will inspire creative collaboration and meaningful encounters between Christians of all traditions throughout our nation.”
We encourage all member churches and local ecumenical partnerships to begin planning now for this significant week of prayer, using these resources to deepen our unity in Christ and strengthen our common witness in communities across Wales.
