Free Faith Security Training launched by the Home Office

The Home Office has announced the launch of Faith Security Training (FST), a new free security awareness scheme designed specifically for faith communities across England and Wales. The training will be delivered on behalf of the Home Office by CDS Support.

The programme aims to help places of worship and faith organisations strengthen their security practices, reduce risks, and ensure that communities can continue to gather safely and securely. It is intended for a wide range of people within faith settings, including faith leaders, trustees, volunteers, facilities managers, and anyone with responsibility or interest in improving safety at a place of worship.

Participants will be able to access training through face-to-face or virtual classroom sessions led by security experts. Additional e-learning modules will also be made available soon through the ProtectUK platform. The scheme is entirely optional and is designed to complement any existing security arrangements already in place.

Faith groups who would like to take part can register online. Further information is also available by contacting contact@cdssupport.uk.
