Every year Cytûn: Churches Together in Wales has a stand on the Urdd Eisteddfod field, in collaboration with local chapels and churches. It is great to be able to welcome several thousand children to us annually over the 6 days, to enjoy the various activities.

Within the space, which is staffed by Cytûn staff and a number of volunteers from the local churches and Sunday schools, a variety of activities are available. Children and young people will love to get away from the hustle and bustle of the field to play Lego, Connex, Jenga, Connect 4 not to mention the opportunity to take part in a craft activity, badge making, face or nail painting.

There will also be plenty of opportunity for colouring and craft work, focusing on stories from the Bible. It is an opportunity for local Sunday Schools to create banners and posters showcasing their work and to tell a bit of their history. We will be distributing drinks and refreshments as well, not to mention offering a free gospel taken from the Welsh modern Bible translation beibl.net. There is a good selection of books available, for children, parents, not to mention school teachers and Sunday School.

At 11.00 every day we will read the Urdd’s Message of Peace and Goodwill, by some of the local youth.

This work is sponsored by the denominations and organisations that are part of Cytûn’s work, who are all welcome to be part of the arrangements. Contact us to know more about arrangements for this year at aled@ysgolsul.com.
