Every year Cytûn: Churches Together in Wales a significant presence on the National Eisteddfod field, in collaboration with local chapels and churches. It is wonderful to be able to welcome several thousand people and children to us annually over the 8 days, to enjoy the offer and a variety of activities.

Within the space, which is staffed by Cytûn staff and a number of volunteers from the local churches, a variety of activities are available. Many will turn to us for a break from the hustle and bustle of the field to enjoy a cuppa and a Welsh cake, and a chance to sit and chat. For children there is an opportunity to play Lego, Connex, Jenga, Connect 4 not to mention an opportunity to take part in a craft activity, badge making, face or nail painting.

Every day at 11.00 a short service is held, with hymns, reading, meditation and prayer. There will also be a number of other events, including launches, talks, presentations and singing. There are a number of exhibitions showing the work of the churches and Christian organisations, with an opportunity to chat and discuss. There is a good selection of books available, for children, parents, not to mention school teachers and Sunday School.

This work is sponsored by the denominations and organizations that are part of Cytûn’s work, all of whom are welcome to be part of the arrangements. Contact us to know more about arrangements for this year at aled@ysgolsul.com.
