Every year Cytûn: Churches Together in Wales has a stand on the Royal Welsh Show ground in Llanelwedd, in collaboration with local chapels and churches. It is nice to be able to welcome hundreds of people and children to join us annually over the 4 days, to enjoy a wide variety of activities. Within the space, which is staffed by Cytûn staff and a number of volunteers from the local churches, a number of activities are available. Many will turn to us for a break from the hustle and bustle of the field to enjoy a cuppa and a Welsh cake, and a chance to sit and chat. For children there is an opportunity to play Lego, Connex, Jenga, Connect 4 not to mention an opportunity to take part in a craft activity, badge making, face or nail painting.

Every day at 11.00 a short service is held, with hymns, reading, meditation and prayer. There are a number of exhibitions showing the work of the churches and Christian organisations, with an opportunity to chat and discuss. There is a good selection of books available, for children, parents, not to mention school teachers and Sunday School.

We are also proud of the opportunity to collaborate with the excellent team of chaplains who roam the field during the week ready to listen and advise. This work is sponsored by the denominations and organizations that are part of Cytûn’s work.

All the organisations and denominations that are part of Cytûn are welcome to be part of the arrangements. Contact us to know more about arrangements for this year at aled@ysgolsul.com.
